Where's is your favorite place to shoot? I prefer the desert most of all. Especially, ol' mining towns that are full of donkeys, shops and endless character.
I have some new presets for Lightroom, so old photos become new again <3
Here's a series of throwback pictures from when I first started taking portrait pictures. These were all shots that I overlooked at the time. I just didn't see their potential, or mine. So the other day I whipped these pictures out again, and re edited with some new Lightroom presets. And needless to say I'm in love with the outcome. What do you think of your older images from when you started taking pictures?
Yesterday Hillary and I met up again to shoot some outfit shots Downtown. It was great! She has such a fun and beautiful style that you can see and read about on her blog http://hbeyou.com/
I cannot wait to share those pictures on here in the next few weeks! But for no here are some shots from our first time shooting together at the Cosmopolitan! Have a great rest of the week!
Just some brightly colored, fun filled photos to brighten your Thursday :D

Wow, these were taken over a year ago! I'm sad that I haven't shared them much, because they are some of my all time best shots from last year. But anywho here they are!
Some photos I just can't decide whether I like them more in color or in black and white. As a woman who used to be afraid of black and white images this is a huge step for me ;) I always felt that it took away from the image itself...when in fact I don't feel that's true anymore. I feel it's quite the opposite. Some images say so much more in black and white, because there aren't so many distractions.
What do you think?
This is Ali. Could you tell by the title ;)
We've worked together a few times now, and it's always been great! She's so patient, and kind it's unreal. This time with these shots, I captured several of her while she was chatting it up with my sweet Emma. I had my little chick-a-dee with my on this shoot, because it was a TFP. Otherwise is can be chaos trying to juggle a toddler and take pictures haha.
These shots are from the first series in Encino with two of my dearest friends. We shot just before sunset along Ventura BLVD. It was so fun! It was my first time to that area, at least from what I can remember. So it was exciting to be somewhere new-exploring!
While on vacation we took a small detour to Encino in order to visit some of my closest friends who moved away, and left us in Vegas (insert sobbing here) haha but no really. I miss them everyday. It's like a traditon for us to shoot when we're together for two reasons
1. They're both models
2. I'm working on be a better photographer every chance I get
So this time around we just walked around our hotel and the convenient Trader Joe's next door as the sun was setting...aka the golden hour. It was fun, so much fun that my daughter hopped in for some photos too.
I have another round of photos from this session coming soon!
